To look at the pictures of the books I read in February you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking I’d topped off with seven again but you’d definitely be wrong. In fact, this month I was spurred on by my Goodreads Reading Challenge telling me I was so many books behind schedule if I wanted to reach my target of 175 for the year. Since finding Graphic Novels (which you can read about here) and comics, I discovered that not only do they still count as a valid form of reading BUT they massively bump up my Goodreads Challenge total.
Three out of the seven pictured books were actually comic issues, making a massive total of 57 books for February. This is putting my total up to 64 books for the year and (according to Goodreads) 36 books ahead of schedule. Yay. Go me!
I do have to say that out of my books this month I really had a mixed bag. All of these books/series have been reviewed individually on my site but to summarise:
I had one that I did not finish – Deadly Class – I managed to read fifteen issues before finally giving up halfway through the sixteenth issue.
Once Upon A Star was a compilation of individual stories by fourteen different authors. I read this one as a review copy from one of my favourite authors and found only a couple of the stories were actually worth talking about.
The October Faction was my favourite read from the comic selection I chose this month and The Fifth Doll was my favourite from the novel selection.
(My other reviews for this month can be found here: Joyland, Y The Last Man, Some Possible Solutions)

Finally, let’s take a look back to my Summary for last month and see if I managed to fulfil my goals
#1 – Finish Joyland – DONE
#2 – Read The Fifth Doll – DONE
#3 – Reduce my Kindle TBR pile – NOT DONE
#4 – Reduce my paperback TBR pile – NOT DONE
As you can see I only managed to read a grand total of one book from my Kindle TBR pile so I don’t think that really qualifies as a completed goal. I read none of my unread paperbacks, in fact, I went the opposite way and bought eight new ones to add to it (damn you charity shops and your four for £1 deals).
March Reading Plans
#1 – Finish reading Once Upon A Curse: 17 Dark Fairy Tales
#2 – Finish reading Horror at Halloween Part One
#3 – Do not buy any more books – Kindle, paperback or any format
#4 – Only to read other books from either my Kindle or paperback pile
Fingers crossed I do better this month with my goals
